|
After losing its original function of service and filling station, the building was restored in function of its reuse as a “Cultural Filling Station”.
Following rehabilitation which concluded in September 2008, the little ex service station is now used as a cultural centre and to host exhibitions and shows. Restoration was performed by the “Associazione Stazione Rogers”, made up of the Associazione Ernesto Nathan Rogers per il progresso dell’architettura e della Scienza (Luciano Semerani and Gigetta Tamaro), the Associazione Trieste Contemporanea (Giuliana Carbi and Franco Jesurun) and Comunicarte (Lorenzo Michelli and Massimiliano Schiozzi), which had won the competition for ideas announced by the Commune of Trieste. |
