The original project dates to 1989, its realisation to 1990/1992. Following the success of the shopping centre, in 1998 Esselunga entrusted Mario Botta with the project for its enlargement, realised in 1999.
The enlargement consisted in closing the original gallery with an iron and glass wall, so as to enlarge the supermarket. Externally, a new series of shops were built, along with a new gallery with tunnel roofing in modular thermoformed elements. |
