HALF A CENTURY OF QUALITY CARVED IN MARBLE |

|
COMPANYCooperativa Apuana started life in 1954 to promote and innovate the ancient tradition of excavation widespread in the Vagli area since time immemorial. The company has dedicated almost 60 years to marble, a "timeless material" which for centuries has profoundly characterized architecture and the history of art, and it is this "secular tradition" that defines the company and the way it operates. Cooperativa Apuana works one of the oldest quarries in Tuscany and, as the number one marble production company in Lucca and surrounding areas, is a point of reference for the entire sector. STRUCTURECooperativa Apuana has modern and efficient infrastructures and runs two storage facilities in which visitors can choose and appreciate the wide range of available products. The large, very old extraction basin is divided into four operating sites from which different materials are excavated. Advanced mechanical equipment used at each site guarantee that every phase of the extraction process is effectly carried out, meeting quality standards and business requirements set by the company. Keeping constantly up to date with excavation and processing technology and having a high level of professional workmanship, means Cooperativa Apuana's yearly production rate exceeds 40 tons of natural and colored marble combined. A partnership with a reliable transport company guarantees on-time, efficient delivery.
